The Opportunity
As part of the Tax team you support teams and participate in projects, focusing on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices. As an Intern/Trainee you perform basic tasks and conduct research while observing professional work environments and learning about developing your personal brand. You have the chance to work on a variety of assignments, each presenting varying challenges and scope, and you are encouraged to ask questions, take initiative, and produce quality work that adds significance for our clients and contributes to our team’s success.

What You Must Have
- Juris Doctorate
- Required cumulative GPA: 3.0

- Juris Doctorate in Taxation, Accounting preferred
- Investigating and analyzing tax laws, rules, and regulations

- Working with large, complex data sets
- Before starting with PwC full-time, will be eligible to sit for the primary credential exam appropriate for relevant practice area.
*Client service intern positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally either in their 3rd year of a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 year program. Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year.
JD and LLM opportunities are for the following areas:
ITS: Those in international tax at PwC will provide advice and guidance to clients on structuring their global tax positions. Your work will involve analysing international tax laws and regulations to develop strategies that optimise tax efficiency and minimise risks for multinational businesses.
M&A: Those in mergers and acquisition tax at PwC will focus on providing tax advice and guidance during mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions. Your work will involve analysing the tax implications of such transactions, developing tax structures, and assisting clients in navigating complex tax regulations to optimise tax outcomes.
Real Estate: Those in real estate tax at PwC will advise clients on tax implications related to real estate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, investments, and joint ventures. Your work will involve analysing partnership and corporate tax, REIT taxation, international tax considerations, and state and local tax regulations to help clients optimise their tax positions and navigate complex real estate structures.
SALT: Those in local taxes at PwC will focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on local tax matters. Your work will involve analysing and interpreting local tax laws and regulations, assisting businesses in complying with local tax requirements and optimising their local tax positions.

The salary range for this position is: $28.00 - $44.75. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
