As a Full Stack Developer you will lead the development of web applications with the support of a small development team. You are a multidisciplinary software engineer with technical responsibility across the entire development lifecycle. You will drive application development based on screens, documented requirements, and user stories; actively participate in daily team stand-ups; assist with third level support by driving the resolution of application defects; coach and mentor junior developers; and participate in firmwide software development forums and external/online communities to share ideas and contribute to our body of knowledge.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader by:

  • Possessing a thorough understanding of logical architectures for web applications using best practice design principles;

  • Designing and developing web applications across a range of technologies such as Express (Node.Js), React, Angular, HTML, Javascript, Python, .Net Core, Java, Scala;

  • Developing middleware, integration and messaging systems using REST APIs and popular message bus platforms;

  • Building, testing, deploying, and managing applications on cloud computing services such as Azure or AWS;

  • Possessing a thorough understanding of event-driven, asynchronous programming concepts and best practice application design principles;

  • Demonstrating expertise in relational database design and querying using PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL;

  • Working with CI/CD pipeline tools and deployments, microservices architectures and containerization tools;

  • Demonstrating thorough knowledge of source code version control, including the use of Git repositories;

  • Designing, developing and automating unit tests; and

  • Executing on projects that follow an Agile Scrum methodology.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader through:

  • Working efficiently with remote teams using collaboration technology;

  • Identifying issues and solving complex problems as part of a team;

  • Leading small development teams and fostering robust working relationships;

  • Working well under pressure and meeting demanding deadlines with high attention to detail;
