ApplyA career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud. Our Internal Tax team provides internal services related to financial services, treasury and taxation. As part of our team, you’ll help the team provide a full range of taxation services to PwC related to complex financial reporting, cost management, tax planning, investment management and transaction processing.

The IT role within Partnership Tax exists to develop an understanding of the department’s tax technology needs and to assist in multiple projects with the goal to align our business and tax requirements by identifying and addressing gaps. As a part of the team, you will collaborate with the firm’s IT and Partner Affairs teams, ensure proper testing, help optimize opportunity cost, identify efficiency opportunities, and document the requirements to create solutions that meet user needs.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader:
- Performing all phases of applications systems analysis and a proven understanding of the SDLC development methodology (Waterfall/Agile/Scrum);
- Working on software development projects;
- Applying analytical skills to determine business value and documenting accurate business requirements and presenting these requirements in a manner that is concise, measurable and flexible enough to meet project and stakeholder needs;
- Conducting requirements elicitation, validation and analysis meetings with the business stakeholders, performing Fit/Gap analysis, supporting testing activities, and producing deliverables related to the project or projects assigned;
- Managing the quality and acceptance of vendor testing SOW deliverables in a project setting;
- Overseeing the documentation of business requirements and test cases, so that requirements and test cases are unambiguous, aligned, consistent and not in contradiction with each other;
- Providing modeling of the business processes, and understanding the business need and impacts of proposed solutions;
- Providing assistance for developing solution approach to deliver business value;
- Developing business and application domain knowledge for Partnership Tax;
- Demonstrating prior knowledge of Adobe Experience Cloud stack (Adobe Experience Manager - AEM, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, etc.);
- Utilizing experience with PeopleSoft and MS365;
- Understanding individual or partnership income tax concepts and filing requirements;
- Understanding financial systems, business processes and organization structure;
- Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals;
- Prioritizing and pushing forward in an ambiguous environment or with changing priorities;
- Utilizing extensive analytical, organizational, enhanced listening, problem solving, negotiation, and facilitation skills;
- Building and delivering training materials, presentations and documentation;
- Maintaining change files and providing historical information as required;
- Solving problems with attention to detail, coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously and working independently with minimal supervision;
- Collaborating with team members virtually, including supporting the work/life balance of the team;
- Driving automation & digitization in a professional services environment including but not limited to innovating through new and existing technologies, experimenting with digitization solutions, working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools, and utilizing digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements; and,
- Having an understanding of the team’s business cycle and needs and coordinating with the Information Technology teams to ensure alignment on business objectives between the business team and the delivery team.
