The Opportunity

As a Cybersecurity Consulting Intern, you will engage in a dynamic environment where you will support teams in delivering cybersecurity solutions to clients. You will participate in projects that involve security reviews, vulnerability assessments, and the implementation of security controls, gaining exposure to the methodologies and practices that drive successful cybersecurity strategies. As an Intern, you will focus on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices, supporting teams with basic tasks, and observing professional work environments. You will have the opportunity to apply a learning mindset, take ownership of your development, and appreciate diverse perspectives while contributing to the team's success.

Responsibilities

- Supporting cybersecurity teams in conducting vulnerability assessments and security reviews
- Participating in the design and implementation of security architecture and controls
- Assisting in the development and management of cybersecurity policies and strategies
- Collaborating with teams to monitor security incidents and manage responses effectively
- Engaging in the application of encryption technologies to safeguard sensitive information
- Contributing to privacy compliance efforts by understanding regulatory requirements
- Utilizing Agile methodology to enhance project management and team collaboration
- Observing and learning from client support interactions to gain exposure to cybersecurity practices
- Gathering information to analyze security threats and discern patterns for proactive measures
- Developing a learning mindset to take ownership of personal development and growth

What You Must Have

- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree
- Client service intern positions are entry-level roles intended for job seekers who are in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application. Winter internships typically occur during the spring semester preceding the student's final year of school Summer internships typically take place during the summer preceding the student's final year of school

What Sets You Apart

- Preference for one of the following fields of study: Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Business Application Programming, Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Information CyberSecurity, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Risk Management, Systems Engineering
- Preference for a 3.3 overall GPA
- Demonstrating knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and strategies
- Participating in vulnerability assessments and security incident management
- Utilizing encryption technologies and privacy compliance measures
- Supporting teams with security architecture and compliance management
- Applying Agile methodology in cybersecurity projects

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
