The Opportunity

As an Actuarial Risk Modeling Services Intern, you will engage in a dynamic environment where you will support teams in delivering actuarial services and risk management solutions. You will have the chance to apply your analytical skills to financial data mining, risk model implementation, and strategic forecasting, contributing to the development of innovative solutions for our clients. As an Intern, you will focus on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices, supporting teams with basic tasks, and participating in projects that enhance your understanding of actuarial science and risk analysis. You will observe professional work environments and contribute reliably to the team's success.

In this role at PwC, you will be part of a client support team, working on projects that involve statistical consulting and financial risk management. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in statistical modeling and complex data analysis, while presenting financial reports and engaging in communication with diverse audiences. Responsibilities

- Supporting actuarial teams in risk modeling projects and gaining exposure to industry practices
- Participating in the development and implementation of risk prediction models using statistical analysis software
- Conducting complex data analysis to identify patterns and trends in financial data
- Assisting in financial risk management tasks by analyzing market and operational risks
- Engaging in financial data mining to uncover insights and opportunities within financial markets
- Collaborating with team members to present financial reports and strategic forecasts
- Applying actuarial science principles to assess risk in insurance and finance sectors
- Observing and learning from experienced professionals to enhance understanding of actuarial services
- Contributing to client support initiatives by providing statistical consulting and advice
- Utilizing communication skills to effectively convey ideas and findings to diverse audiences

What You Must Have

- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in at least one of the following field(s) of study: Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
- Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements and demonstrate a commitment to undertaking and passing actuarial exams
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA
- Client service intern positions are entry-level roles intended for job seekers who are in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application Winter internships typically occur during the spring semester preceding the student's final year of school Summer internships typically take place during the summer preceding the student's final year of school

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
