Those in financial due diligence at PwC will focus on providing strategic advice and business diligence services to clients in their mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. You will be responsible for analysing financial information focusing on quality of earnings and assets, cash flows and other key client deal issues.

The Opportunity

As a Deals - Financial Due Diligence Intern, you will engage in the dynamic world of financial analysis, gaining hands-on experience in evaluating financial statements and understanding the financial health of businesses. You will be part of a team that plays a crucial role in mergers and acquisitions, providing valuable insights into financial trends and assisting in the valuation of potential business opportunities. This role offers a unique chance to delve into financial forecasting, investment valuation, and business performance metrics, equipping you with a comprehensive understanding of the finance industry.

As an Intern, you will support teams and participate in projects, focusing on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices. You will perform basic tasks and conduct research while observing professional work environments and learning about developing your personal brand. In this role at PwC, you will be part of the Financial Due Diligence team, where you will engage in financial forecasting, investment analysis, and business valuations. This is an opportunity to develop your skills and gain valuable insights into the financial sector, including banking, investment, insurance, and financial services. Responsibilities

- Supporting teams in conducting financial due diligence for mergers and acquisitions
- Participating in the analysis of financial statements to assess business health and performance
- Assisting in the preparation of financial models to evaluate potential investment opportunities
- Observing and learning about market trends to provide insights for deal management
- Contributing to the evaluation of earnings quality and industry trend analysis
- Engaging in cost accounting tasks to understand the financial implications of business decisions
- Collaborating with team members to perform business valuations and merger accounting
- Gathering information to aid in financial forecasting and planning activities
- Applying financial advising skills to support client engagements and strategic initiatives
- Developing an understanding of financial economics and corporate finance principles

What You Must Have

- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree
- Client service intern positions are entry-level roles intended for job seekers who are in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application. Winter internships typically occur during the spring semester preceding the student's final year of school Summer internships typically take place during the summer preceding the student's final year of school

What Sets You Apart

- Preference for one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Accounting & Finance, Accounting & Technology, Economics and Finance, Finance
- Preference for a 3.3 overall GPA
- Demonstrating knowledge in financial statement analysis and industry trend analysis
- Participating in financial due diligence and merger accounting projects
- Supporting deal management and acquisitions with analytical skills
- Engaging in financial advising and business valuations activities

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
