The Opportunity

As a Data Quality Intern for Assurance Innovation & Technology, you will play a crucial role in supporting our data management team by participating in projects that focus on maintaining the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data. You will be involved in supporting quality control procedures and data quality improvement plans, confirming that data is fit for its intended purpose and can be trusted for decision-making.

As an Intern, you will support teams and participate in projects, focusing on learning and gaining exposure to our practices. You will perform basic tasks and conduct research while observing professional work environments and learning about developing your personal brand. This role offers a chance to engage in a variety of assignments, each presenting unique challenges and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

- Supporting data quality assurance initiatives by participating in data error checking and quality assurance testing
- Assisting in the development and implementation of data quality improvement plans to enhance data integrity and reliability
- Engaging in quality assurance investigations to identify and resolve data discrepancies
- Contributing to the creation and maintenance of quality control procedures to uphold data management standards
- Participating in database troubleshooting to address and rectify data-related issues
- Collaborating with team members to reconcile discrepancies and validate data accuracy
- Observing and learning from experienced professionals to gain insights into data quality assurance processes
- Applying intellectual curiosity to explore innovative solutions for data quality challenges
- Participating in team meetings and discussions to support client-focused data management initiatives
- Utilizing active listening and communication skills to effectively contribute to team projects and goals

What You Must Have

- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA
- Client service intern positions are entry-level roles intended for job seekers who are in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application
- Winter internships typically occur during the spring semester preceding the student's final year of school
- Summer internships typically take place during the summer preceding the student's final year of school

- Preference for one of the following fields of study: Data Analytics, Data Science, Information System, Finance

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
