Pega Senior System Architect [CSSA] 

Preferred Knowledge/Skills

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in end-user interaction in understanding and documenting business and functional requirements for complex projects and managing technical teams across the full software development life cycle, including the following areas: 

  • Develop comprehensive technical architectures, including system, data, and integration architectures; 
  • Utilize advanced features of Pega BPM software to design and implement efficient, scalable, and secure solutions; 
  • Design and implement complex enterprise integrations with technologies such as Oracle, LDAP, and Active Directory; 
  • Create detailed design documents, implement code according to requirements, and review with Lead System Architect (LSA); 
  • Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and functionality; 
  • Participate in deployment activities, including configuration management and environment setup; 
  • Guide and mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and best practices; 
  • Collaborate effectively with business analysts, system architects, and team members to achieve project goals; 
  • Identify and resolve complex technical issues, including performance bottlenecks and unexpected behavior; 
  • Provide post-deployment support, including troubleshooting, bug fixes, and enhancements; 
  • Drive BPM adoption within client organizations, empowering client resources to develop process applications independently; 
  • Assist clients in identifying additional business process opportunities using Pega software; 
  • Build strong client relationships, addressing needs and communicating in an organized and knowledgeable manner; 
  • Demonstrate project management skills, including risk management, scope management, and change control; 
  • Engage in software consulting, ideally in BPM, DM, or EAI settings, and manage server architecture for high-availability environments; 
  • Stay current with the latest Pega releases, features, and best practices; 
  • Share technical insights with the team to enhance overall skills and knowledge; 
  • Proficient in software delivery or development using technologies such as Java/JEE, JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere, SQL, JavaScript, and Web Services; and,  
  • Experience with web servers (Apache or IIS) and operating systems (Windows, Red Hat Linux, or AIX).

The salary range for this position is: $100,000 - $232,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
