As an Intern / Trainee, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

PwC’s Start interns support internal firm functions, meaning our “clients” are internal PwC professionals. Start Interns are expected to:

  • Support select projects; demonstrate creative thinking and individual initiative while working as a team member; build solid relationships with team members;
  • Proactively seek guidance, clarification and feedback; and,
  • Demonstrate flexibility with task completion and prioritization, communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor.

Accounting, Management Information Systems, Economics, Business Administration/Management, Business Analytics, Finance & Technology, Computer and Information Science & Accounting

To be eligible for the Start Internship, you must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree and be in your sophomore year of a 4-year degree program or junior year of a five-year degree program. You may also be pursuing an Associates Degree and be matriculating to a four-year institution.   

Certification(s) Preferred:

Before starting with PwC full-time, meet all educational requirements to be eligible for the primary credential license appropriate for relevant practice area, such as meeting all educational requirements to satisfy the 150 credit hour requirement necessary for the CPA license in the state in which your office will be located, or provide documentation satisfactory to the Firm that your CPA license can be obtained in the state in which your office will be located through reciprocity based on either a CPA license held, or CPA exam passed, in another state, or the educational requirements to license for the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) license.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates a desire to pursue a career in professional services, as well as some abilities and/or a proven record of success with identifying and addressing client needs:  

  • Leveraging creative problem-solving skills and prioritizing and handling multiple tasks;  
  • Interacting and communicating with various levels of business professionals, with an attention toward business-related communications and grammar in both written and oral formats; and, 
  • Exhibiting abilities to self-motivate and take responsibility for personal growth and development.
