Those in rewards and benefits at PwC will specialise in providing comprehensive consulting services related to total rewards, compensation programmes, and employee benefits. You will work closely with clients to analyse their reward and benefits strategies, design competitive and equitable compensation structures, and develop cost-effective and attractive benefits packages.

Additional Responsibilities

The Talent Architecture Consultant – Manager is responsible for delivering expert consultation in the areas of job architecture design, skills taxonomy design, compensation frameworks, project management, and change management for job architecture initiatives. This role ensures alignment between talent strategies and business objectives to drive organizational effectiveness.

Demonstrates extensive Consulting and Advisory abilities, emphasizing the following areas: 

  • Lead client engagements as subject matter expert to consult on designing, implementing, and governing job architectures and skills frameworks; and, 
  • Partner with clients to execute project strategies in alignment with business goals.  

Demonstrates extensive Strategic Analysis and Design abilities, emphasizing the following areas: 

  • Design future state job and skills architecture, incorporating market references and gaps identified through organizational analysis;   
  • Design customized solutions, including competency models, career progression pathways, and skills strategies; and, 
  • Benchmark key talent metrics/practices, and recommend enhancements based on data insights. 

Demonstrates extensive Project Management and Stakeholder Engagement abilities, emphasizing the following areas:  

  • Oversee multiple consulting projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget;  
  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycles and implementation activities by partnering with relevant stakeholders (e.g., HR, Compensation, Systems teams) to drive project success;  
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and HR teams to align talent architecture initiatives with strategic goals;  
  • Facilitate workshops to review and validate job architecture design with business SMEs, HR stakeholders, and leaders;  
  • Develop and execute change management approach including communications and training strategy to ensure successful adoption across the organization; and, 
  • Manage and mentor teams of associates and senior associates to achieve project milestones. 

Demonstrates extensive thought leader-level abilities as a team leader, emphasizing the following areas: 

  • Contribute to the development of PwC's intellectual property in talent architecture and future-of-work solutions; and, 
  • Publish insights and participate in industry forums to showcase expertise.  

Demonstrates extensive Business Development abilities, emphasizing the following areas: 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients, identifying opportunities to expand PwC's talent architecture consulting services; and,  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create tailored proposals, respond to RFPs, and present thought leadership in talent strategies to attract new business and enhance client partnerships.  

Demonstrates extensive abilities through a proven record of success with the following: 

  • Understand HR technology experience/design/implementation/optimization (Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, ADP, UKG, Ceridian, etc.); 
  • In-depth knowledge of talent management best practices, workforce analytics, and industry trends / benchmarks; 
  • Prioritize and handle multiple tasks, researching and analyzing pertinent client, industry and technical matters, utilizing problem-solving skills; 
  • Proficient in project management and change management methodologies and tools; 
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills in written and verbal formats to various audiences (including various levels of management and internal / external PwC stakeholders); 
  • Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations; 
  • Sense of urgency in solving client requests to deliver timely resolution and an ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines; 
  • Manage up and pull in subject matter specialist resources when required for conversations or deliverable creation purposes; 
  • Leading, coaching, and motivating team members, promoting a collaborative work environment by providing strategic and balanced oversight, proactively sharing insights, knowledge and experience;  
  • Supervise Senior Associates and Associates as part of client engagements; 
  • Act to resolve issues which prevent the team working effectively; 
  • Engage in pre-sales activities, collaborating with clients and internal teams to validate technology requirements and develop proposed solution architectures; 
  • Assist in creating proposals, ensuring comprehensive and contractually sound Statements of Work (SOW); 
  • Develop, execute, and drive change for global, corporate talent initiatives including consulting with and influencing senior business, HR leaders, and stakeholders; and, 
  • Proficient in data analysis and data visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, PowerBI.

The salary range for this position is: $100,000 - $232,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
