Your work will involve analysing market trends, assessing business opportunities, and developing strategic frameworks to guide clients in making informed decisions regarding their deals. You will help clients navigate complex transactions, identify potential risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to maximise value and achieve their business objectives. Working in this area, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients in formulating and executing effective strategies to optimise outcomes in their deal-making processes.

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities as a team leader, emphasizing the following areas:
Private Equity deal experience:
Experience in and understanding of Private Equity transactions and the deal lifecycle, including a basic understanding of Private Equity concepts (e.g. investment thesis, LP, GP, hold period);
Experience conducting commercial, operations and/or Go-to-Market due diligence;
Ability to work at “deal speed”;
Ability to be flexible and creative to arrive at a set of outcomes, including with an incomplete or ambiguous set of inputs;
Ability to gather, analyze and draw conclusions from both structured and unstructured data; and,
Ability to link observations to the client’s investment thesis and value creation goals.
Go-to-Market expertise:
Deep understanding of at least one-and ideally more than one-of the functions that comprise Go-to-Market: Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Channel;
Understanding of common revenue models (e.g. perpetual license vs. subscription);
Understanding of how a company’s commercial strategy links to its corporate strategy;
Familiarity with key Go-to-Market metrics (e.g. ARR, ACV, bookings, CAC, LTV); and,
Understanding of how Go-to-Market metrics tie to a Private Equity sponsor’s key financial metrics (e.g. EBITDA, EV).
Technology industry knowledge:
Understanding of basic technology business models (e.g. on-premise vs. cloud);
Experience working with or evaluating Software/SaaS companies; and,
Basic understanding of macro trends impacting the Technology landscape (e.g. the shift from prem to SaaS).
Pricing expertise:
- Assessing and evaluating company performance;
- Conducting diagnostic work to identify and uncover opportunities for top-line / pricing improvement;
- Developing approaches to deliver and execute on identified opportunities;
- Strong implementation skillset to ensure client realization of pricing improvement initiatives which deliver pricing, revenue, and profit improvement; and,
- Working with executives to gain trust and buy-in to ensure successful implementation and realization of pricing and sales initiatives
Other capabilities:
Writing, communicating, facilitating, and presenting cogently; to and/or for all levels of audiences, clients and internal staff and management;
Building proven and collaborative relationships with team members, fostering a productive teamwork environment, leading teams to generate a vision, leveraging diverse views, and helping to develop and grow team members throughout the course of every engagement;
Distilling a combination of qualitative and quantitative information into a concise set of findings, conclusions and recommendations;
Helping clients see the “big picture” through a combination of synthesized conclusions and supporting data;
Scoping and leading project delivery;
Ensuring engagements are delivered on-time and on-budget;
Leading client interactions, including interviews, management meetings and readouts with Private Equity Deal & Operations teams, CEOs, CROs, CMOs, COOs, and CFOs;
Helping to pursue and develop new project opportunities-including writing proposals, determining staffing needs, determining budget;
Developing new frameworks to support the team’s continued evolution; and,
Ability to communicate difficult information or news in a way that is clear and direct while also being audience-appropriate.

The salary range for this position is: $148,000 - $317,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
