Those in rewards and benefits at PwC will specialise in providing comprehensive consulting services related to total rewards, compensation programmes, and employee benefits. You will work closely with clients to analyse their reward and benefits strategies, design competitive and equitable compensation structures, and develop cost-effective and attractive benefits packages.

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding thorough abilities and/or proven record of success in roles involving Compensation and Benefits Tax in a major consulting firm, major law firm or corporate environment with a combination of any of the following:
- Comprehensive technical skills in a wide array of compensation and benefit matters, such as the taxation of compensation plans, stock-based compensation, deferred compensation arrangements, health and welfare plans, and qualified plans;
- Experience with employment tax treatment of compensation and payroll tax reporting, including fringe benefits, worker classification, corporate restructuring, accountable plans, health and welfare, tax controversy, tax credits, global mobility, and/or federal and state payroll tax compliance.
- Design, regulatory, compliance, financial reporting, and technical aspects of compensation arrangements in either a major law-firm, consulting, or corporate environment;
- Domestic compliance programs, including voluntary disclosures, qualified and non-qualified benefit programs, and experience with financial analysis;
- Researches and prepares written client deliverables assessing Sections 280G and/or 409A analysis;
- Builds, maintains, and utilizes networks of client relationships and community involvement; and,
- Communicates value propositions; and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
Demonstrates thorough proven track record of success:
- Comprehensive technical skills, including federal tax, ability to analyze legislative and regulatory tax developments, and research, analyze, and write client deliverables, including memoranda and tax opinions on proceedings and/or federal and state tax law.
- Utilizes critical thinking, strategic thinking and problem solving to address and solve client challenges;
- Develops project approaches and work plans, including dependencies, maintaining project economics, and keeping leadership informed of progress and issues;
- Identifies and resolving basic business analysis challenges with limited assistance;
- Adjusts readily to shifting priorities and rapid change by anticipating and addressing client needs while building and expanding relationships with clients;
- Works on various sized project teams, in a collaborative and fast-paced environment while building relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and,
- Transforms the business by creating capacity and delivering an enhanced employee and client experience.

The salary range for this position is: $84,000 - $202,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
