AWS Security Engineer - Senior Associate

The Opportunity

As an AWS Security Engineer - Senior Associate, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing secure IT systems that support business operations, confirming the smooth functioning of networks, servers, and data centers to optimize performance and minimize downtime. Within our Managed Services practice, you will focus on minimizing software threats by integrating development, operations, and security industry-leading practices to validate secure, consistent, and efficient delivery of software and applications. This role bridges the gap between teams for seamless and secure application and software development.

As a Senior Associate, you will build meaningful client connections and learn how to manage and inspire others. You will navigate increasingly complex situations, growing your personal brand and deepening your technical skills. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, delivering quality solutions. Embracing increased ambiguity, you will be comfortable when the path forward isn’t clear, using these moments as opportunities to grow. In this role, you will respond effectively to diverse perspectives, use a broad range of tools to generate new ideas, and uphold professional and technical standards.

Responsibilities

- Designing and implementing secure IT systems to support business operations and minimize downtime
- Integrating development, operations, and security practices to enhance software delivery
- Utilizing AWS CloudFormation and Terraform for efficient cloud infrastructure management
- Managing security incident tracking and remediation to maintain system integrity
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize deployment management processes
- Applying analytical thinking to evaluate and mitigate cybersecurity risks
- Developing and maintaining security infrastructure to support seamless application development
- Leveraging tools like GitHub and Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment
- Conducting vulnerability assessments and implementing security controls to protect data
- Building meaningful client connections and anticipating their needs to deliver quality solutions

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 2 years of experience

What Sets You Apart

- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Analytics/Data Science, Artificial Intelligence/Robotics, Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics
- Demonstrating proficiency in AWS CloudFormation and Terraform
- Utilizing Ansible and Puppet for software provisioning and deployment
- Managing security infrastructure implementation and troubleshooting
- Excelling in security incident management and tracking
- Leveraging Python for cybersecurity solutions
- Applying analytical thinking to complex DevSecOps challenges

The salary range for this position is: $77,000 - $202,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
